Amid the complete shutdown in the poll-bound areas of the valley, the final phase of civic polls are going on from today morning in two districts of Kashmir.
As the polling was started early morning, the security has been beefed up at polling stations, in both the districts. Witnesses said that checkpoints have also been set up in both the districts.
In Srinagar, 5791 votes were recorded till 12:00 pm with the percentage of (2.40%) and 674 were recorded in Ganderbal district with the percentage of (7.93%). The total number of percentage in both the districts was recorded (2.57%) by 12:00 pm.
The final phase of the civic polls in Kashmir has begun in 37 wards in Srinagar and Gnaderbal districts of the valley on Tuesday morning. The Polling began at 6 am and is scheduled to end at 4 pm.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in polling bound areas in the valley, following the Joint Resistance Leadership shutdown call.
