The polls for the Uri municipal committee here witnessed highest voter turnout today of 75.33 percent as compared to other places where elections were held today.
Officials said 2676 out of 3552 electors cast their vote in Uri area, amounting to 75.33 percent turnout. Nearly half of those who voted were women.
In Kashmir, Islamabad recorded just 3.2 percent and Srinagar witnessed 1.8 percent till 4 pm.
In Jammu region, Samba recorded 81.4 percent polling till 4 pm.
