Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan believes in just and lasting resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions, according to Radio Pakistan.
In his message on the occasion of UN Day, Hussain said the World Body has a key role in settling of disputes and upholding the right to self-determination of people under alien domination and foreign occupation, the report said.
“He said as a leading troop contributor to UN Peacekeeping, Pakistan has made substantive contribution to the United Nations’ efforts in carrying out its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security,” the radio reported while quoted Hussain as saying.
The President said, it added, the international community should work together to realize the noble objectives of the United Nations and further strengthen it to make the world body even more effective.
