SRINAGAR: An under-construction house collapsed onto a road while it was being jacked up for height enhancement in Saderbal area of Hazratbal in Srinagar on Monday night, officials said.
They said the structure collapsed during the jacking-up process, with debris falling onto the road and partially disrupting vehicular movement in the area.
“No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident. The owner of the house resides at a separate location,” an official said.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the structure collapsing onto the road.
Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident. Officials said necessary measures were being taken at the site and urged people not to panic. (KNO)
