Scores of undergraduate students 2015 batch of Kashmir University on Tuesday held a protest demonstration in Pratap park Srinagar demanding the relaxation in the syllabus for upcoming joint examination of their fifth and sixth semesters.

Accusing the University of Kashmir authorities of not understanding their plight, the students, “The University authorities are adamant and do not show any intent of relaxation in our syllabus.”
“How can we sit in the examinations when we have not completed the syllabus of 5th semester yet leave alone starting the 6th semester,” the students questioned, “We deserve a relaxation as we could not complete our syllabus.”
“The protesting students said that their 4th-semester examination was held in the month of December 2017.How can we complete the syllabus of two semesters in four months,” they added.
The students also claimed that the University of Kashmir is playing with the future of students.The examination is not conducted on time and also results are not declared on time.
The students alleged that the university was playing with their future and demanded that the backlog examination of the previous semesters be held immediately.
Meanwhile, a protest was also held by students of Boys Degree college Islamabad demanding the relaxation in the syllabus for upcoming joint examination of their fifth and sixth semesters.
Scores of students assembled outside the administration block of the college to register their protest.
