SRINAGAR: YSMMET backed Uni4Kashmir initiative submits its proposed University Act and the detailed Project Report (DPR) to the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
An official handout said that the copies of these documents were shared with the Commissioner Secretary of Higher Education, J&K Talat Parvez Rohella as well.
The statement said that the YSMMET delegation led by Dr Mehboob Makhdoomi comprised Kaiser Javid and Sheikh Yameen.
It is also pertinent to mention that prior to this a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between YSMMET and the Government regarding this initiative.
In addition to this, the trade association heads, their select representatives, and various other industry leaders and academicians of the valley have already lent their support for ysmmet.org
Uni4Kashmir is an initiative to establish a world-class university in Jammu and Kashmir and bring quality higher education right to the doorstep of the people of J&K.
The foundation of this institution will not only make quality education accessible and affordable for the masses but will also nurture a whole new generation of intellectuals who would contribute to the greater good of society. The proposed university will be a non-profit private university of international standard and eminence, said the statement.
