SRINAGAR: An unidentified body was found in the Summer Bugh area of Nowgam, Central Kashmir, Srinagar district on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
They mentioned that some passersby informed the police about the body lying in Brick kiln 11D Summerbugh area. Soon after, a police party rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
The identity of the deceased has not been established yet, and the process of identification is currently underway.
The body has been transferred to the mortuary at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar. “Once the medico-legal formalities are completed and the identification is confirmed, the body will be handed over to the legal heirs,” they added. (KS)
