SRINAGAR: An unidentified body of a man was found floating in the river Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Sopore town, on Friday morning, officials said.
“An unidentified body was spotted by the the locals of the area floating in the river Jehlum near Jamia bridge in Sopore, following which the they alerted the police. Meanwhile, a police team rushed to the spot to ascertain the facts,” official said.
He added that the body of man , whose identity is yet to be ascertained has been taken to SDH Sopore. “We have taken cognizance of the matter, while as the identification is being ascertained. The investigation in this regard has been taken up.” (KNO)
