SRINAGAR: An unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing operation in Chrar-i- Shareef area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday, police said.
The gunfight broke out in Chrar-i-Shareef area of the district on Monday late evening following a search operation.
Police said an unidentified militant was killed and the search operation is going on in the area.
Earlier, an official said one army man was injured during a brief gunfight between militants and forces in Chrar-i-Shareef.
