SRINAGAR: An unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing operation in Bandpawa village of Imam Sahib area in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday, police said.
The gunfight broke out in Bandpawa village in Imam Sahib area of the district today afternoon following a search operation.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces in Bandpawa village of Imam Sahib area of Shopian.
Mobile Internet was suspended across the district soon after the news of the gunfight spread. An official said the Internet was suspended as a precautionary measure.
