Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who is on a two day visit to the State, visited the Holy Cave of Amarnath in South Kashmir Himalayas to have Darshan of the Ice Lingam.
Later in the morning he visited the Hazratbal Shrine and paid obeisance there, an official spokesperson said this evening.
On the auspicious occasion of commencement of Amarnath Yatra and the holy month of Ramzan, Singh conveyed his best wishes to people and prayed for peace, harmony and prosperity of the country, the spokesperson added.
