SRINAGAR: On Wednesday, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla visited the Police Headquarters in Srinagar where he chaired a senior officers’ meeting. He was accompanied by Director of Intelligence Bureau, Tapan Kumar Deka.
The meeting was attended by senior officials including DGP J&K Dilbag Singh, DIB Tapan Kumar Deka, Additional Chief Secretary J&K R. K. Goyal, Spl. DG CID J&K R. R. Swain, ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh, ADGP Headquarters PHQ M. K. Sinha, IGP Traffic J&K Vikramjeet Singh and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri.
Upon arrival at PHQ, the Union Home Secretary was received by DGP J&K and his team of officers.
During the meeting, DGP J&K and other officers briefed the Union Home Secretary on the working of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the measures taken to maintain peace in the UT. The statement issued said that on behalf of all ranks of J&K Police, DGP presented mementos to the Union Home Secretary and DIB. (KNO)
