SRINAGAR: The University of Kashmir has announced vacancies for eligible candidates from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir to apply for positions of Legal Assistant, Junior Professional Assistant, and Liaison Officer. The last date for submission of online forms is August 14, 2023.
There are two posts of Legal Assistant, 13 posts of Junior Professional Assistant, and three posts of Liaison Officer. The posts lie in Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35400-112400). Legal Assistant posts will be filled one by an RBA candidate and the other by a Schedule Caste candidate. Junior Professional Assistant posts will be filled six by OM, two posts by RBA, and one post each by ST, EWS, LAC, and PSP candidates. Liaison Officer will be filled one post each by OM, RBA, and Schedule Caste candidates.
The maximum age of the candidates should be minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years for Open Merit candidates, 42 years for Physically Challenged candidates, and 43 years for Schedule Caste, ST, RBA, LAC, PSP, and EWS candidates as of January 1, 2023.
Applicants for the post of Legal Assistant should have completed LLB (3-year) Professional Degree/BA-LLB (5-year integrated degree) through regular mode with 55 percent marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University/Institute and Three years of active practice at the Bar certified by the Principal District & Sessions Judge concerned where the candidate is practicing.
Applicants for the post of Junior Professional Assistant should have Bachelor in Library & Information Science (BLIS) / BLib or an equivalent degree from a recognized University/Institute with 55 percent Marks OR a Masters in Library and Information Science (MLIS) / MLib or an equivalent degree from a recognized University/Institute with 50 percent Marks.
Applicants for the post of Liaison Officer should have Masters’s Degree in any discipline with 55 percent marks or equivalent grade/degree from a recognized University/Institute. Preference will be given to candidates with excellent communication skills in all the posts.
