According to a statement issued by the commission, the Main examination was conducted from August 21 to 30.

Candidates who have qualified will now appear for personality tests, the dates of which will be announced separately. The interviews will be held at the UPSC office at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi.

The commission said qualified candidates would be required to produce original documents supporting their eligibility and claims for reservation or relaxation, including certificates relating to age, educational qualifications, community, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

Candidates seeking benefits under the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), EWS, PwBD and Ex-servicemen categories must produce certificates issued on or before February 27, 2026, the closing date for applications for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026.

The e-summon letters for the personality tests will be made available on the commission’s websites, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. No paper or physical summons letters will be issued.

Candidates facing difficulties downloading their e-summon letters have been advised to contact the commission through its telephone numbers, 011-40303444 and 011-24041001, or email csm-upsc\@nic.in.

The UPSC said requests for changes to the date and time of an interview communicated to candidates would ordinarily not be entertained.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted annually in three stages — Preliminary, Main and Interview — to recruit candidates for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other central services.

The marksheets of all candidates will be uploaded on the commission’s website within 15 days of the declaration of the final results, after completion of the personality tests, and will remain available for 30 days.

Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the UPSC website for further updates.
