IMRCA US-based Indian Muslim Relief & Charities on Sunday, June 19 held a grand Iftar cum dinner at Zalpora Sonawari for more than 1000 persons including women and children, a statement issued by the organization said.

Continuing its Ramadan feeding program in Kashmir division of state, IMRC in collaboration with Ehsaas Trust J&K held a “grand Iftaar” party where dinner was served to around a thousand people of the area who were predominantly labourers, daily wagers and needy.

IMMRCEarlier this month, IMRC also distributed ration for whole month of Ramadan among 700 poor families across 6 districts of Kashmir division.

These programmes are funded by US based IMRC to feed and help the poor who couldn’t afford their daily meals.

IMRC’s programme extends beyond providing cooked meals and grains during Ramadan. It also provides the opportunity for children and adults to have a pair of new Eid clothes, which will also be implemented in Kashmir.

IMRCCIndian Muslim Relief & Charities (IMRC) is a US based non-profit organization which began in 1981 and helps run several programmes throughout the country in partnership with over 100 organizations. Besides running schools and colleges they have been at the forefront of providing immediate relief to affected victims of 2015 Nepal Earthquake, 2014 Kashmir Floods, 2013 Muzaffar Nagar riots, 2012 Assam riots, and other natural/man-made calamities.
