Media fraternity of valley Tuesday remembered Mushtaq Ali on his 18th death anniversary.
Mushtaq was killed in a parcel bomb explosion on September 10, 1995 at Press enclave here. Two more journalists Yusuf Jameel and Habib Naqash were wounded in the attack.
Mushtaq Ali worked with Asia News International (ANI) at that time besides with AFP.
The journalist fraternity who paid great tributes to him at his grave said that the contribution of Mushtaq cannot be forgotten.
“We offer our great salute to Mushtaq Ali for the contributions he has made to the field of journalism in Kashmir. We really are indebted to his great sacrifices,” said one of the Srinagar based journalists.
At least eight journalists have been killed since 1989 in militancy related incidents. Dozens of journalists were also hurt in separate attacks on them.
