Laylat-ul-Qadr, the night of destiny was observed all over Kashmir on Monday night with sanctity and religious fervor. People offered night long prayers across Kashmir.

Also known as Shab-e-Qadr, it is traditionally celebrated each year on the 27th night of Ramadan. It is the night when Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Allah.

In Srinagar people in huge gathering offered prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid and Dargah Hazratbal. Similar congregations were held in different mosques across Kashmir.

Mentioned in the Holy Quran, this night is better than one thousand months
