Srinagar:

National Conference on Thursday filed a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir against various brazen violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) at various places at Budgam, Chrar, Khan Sahib and Srinagar.

In a complaint filed with the CEO, National Conference Provincial President Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani highlighted various developmental works either being identified or taken-up at various places in Chrar, Budgam, Khan Sahib and Srinagar with the tacit and brazen approval of the local administration and the State Government.

“These are clear violations of the MCC and we have requested the CEO to take immediate cognizance and action to uphold the guidelines of the MCC and ensure elections take place in a free and fair atmosphere without any undue and illegitimate misuse of Government funds and machinery by the State Government”, the NC Provincial President said after filing the complaint on behalf of the party with the Chief Electoral Officer for J&K.
