Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today issued an advisory appealing general public to voluntarily come forward and inform the health authorities if they have symptoms like fever, cough, sneezing, shortness of breath or sore throat so that necessary precautions are taken accordingly to safeguard human life.

Besides, the persons having the travel history of the affected regions from the last two months have also been asked to share information with the administration and health department without any delay.

Meanwhile, through a similar advisory, Deputy Commissioner has ordered suspension of work in all tuition & coaching centres and on official & social gatherings in the district till 31st of March 2020 as a precautionary measure to avoid any kind of risk related to Novel COVID-19.

Moreover, District Administration has established round the clock help- line as a move to disseminate awareness among the people. The helpline shall work under the supervision of Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital Baramulla Dr Syed Masood with the contact numbers 7006231150 besides having Dr Zulfikar Nabi with the contact number 9419038139 as the second member.
