At a party workers’ convention in Pulwama, Para emphasised PDP’s willingness to offer all three parliamentary seats in Kashmir to the NC if approached respectfully, stating, “Our party president Mehbooba Mufti was willing to offer all three parliamentary seats falling in the Kashmir division to the National Conference had they approached her before making alleged arrogant remarks about our party.”

He criticised NC’s belief that they are the sole political force in Jammu and Kashmir, drawing parallels to past elections where voters proved otherwise. Para condemned NC leaders for not actively seeking votes, stating, “NC leaders are not seeking votes from the people and instead believe that they are doing a favour to the electorate.”

He accused them of arrogance in their refusal to share the Anantnag seat with PDP, asserting, “People would respond appropriately.”

He also emphasised PDP’s commitment to unity and betterment for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, while also accusing NC MPs of neglecting people’s grievances.

“NC MPs have failed to address people’s grievances at the appropriate forums.” he added
