SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir emerge as top entrepreneurs in the country.
Addressing the BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship run-up event at IIM Jammu, LG Sinha, highlighted the rapid industrial progress in the region.
“Over the past few years, numerous industries have been established, with many more in the pipeline,” he said. “Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed an unprecedented industrial boom. The government is dedicated to ensuring that the youth of JK emerge as top-notch entrepreneurs, contributing significantly to India’s economy.”
He further said, “India was known as a global knowledge hub in the past, and now it is the responsibility of the youth to take the country to new heights.”
LG Sinha praised the New Education Policy (NEP), calling it a revolutionary roadmap for shaping India’s educational and technological future. “The NEP is our guide and will play a pivotal role in aligning our education system with global standards,” he remarked.
He also emphasised the critical need for collaboration between academia and industry to drive technological advancements.
“The synergy between educational institutions and industries is essential to fostering innovation and developing cutting-edge technologies that will propel India further on the global stage,” he said. (KNO)
