SRINAGAR: A second-generation bat-makers from Kashmir flew to various countries to make the Kashmir willow acceptable to the global pitch. He failed even after vesting Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and Africa.
“Finally, I approached the ICC, and they suggested the requirement of the bat and I started manufacturing it,” Fauzal Kabir, who owns the GR8 brand, said. “After it was approved by the ICC and now we have half a dozen international players who will now be playing with our bats in this World Cup.”
