Speaking to media persons, Sadiq said that the Chief Minister discussed multiple issues, including statehood restoration, Kathua, and Baramulla incidents, with the Home Minister.

“We cannot get directly involved in these incidents as law and order is not our domain, but we have taken up the issue directly with the Home Minister. We are on it, but we reiterate that no innocent person should be killed. Public cooperation is imperative to improve the situation,” Sadiq said.

He added that the discussion took place in a cordial atmosphere. “We have been reiterating that statehood should be restored at the earliest so that all issues can be resolved.” (KNO)
