SRINAGAR: Army on Saturday claimed to have foiled the weapon smuggling at Kishanganga river along the line of control (LoC) at Keran sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition.
“Keran Sector, Kupwara. Alert troops foil Pak attempt to push in arms across LC. Army noticed 2-3 men transporting some items in a tube tied to a rope across Kishenganga river,” an army spokesman said on Twitter.
Troops immediately reached location and recovered the following-:
– 04 x AK 74 Rifles
– 08 x Magazines

He said that after the timely action troops reached the spot and recovered a huge amount of warlike a store that include, 4 AK 47 Rifles, 8 Magazines and 240 rounds.
