There was some respite for residents of Kashmir from intense cold as the minimum temperature raised by several degrees at most places in the valley and Ladakh region. There was a considerable improvement in the minimum temperature in the valley and Ladakh region on Tuesday.

An official from MeT department said the weather is likely to be bright and sunny till Thursday and The day temperatures may improve further.

The Srinagar city recorded 14.1 degree Celsius temperature and Jammu city recorded 21.2, respectively.

The Kargil region remained in freeze at minus 15, while Leh also remained in freeze at minus 8.5 degree Celsius.

The ski resort Gulmarg was at minus 7.6, and tourist destination Pahalgam was at minus 4.7.

While Katra recorded 6.8, Batote 3.7, Bannihal minus 0.3, Bhaderwah 1.9 and Udhampur was at three 3 degrees Celsius.
