The state’s meteorological department on Wednesday said that weather in Jammu and Kashmir will improve from tomorrow.

The upper reaches of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, including health resort of Sonamarg, Gumri Zojila Pass, Shaitani Nallah, Panch Tarni, Zero Point, Minimarg, Drass Kargil received fresh snowfall on Wednesday.

An official said that there are chances of light rains but the overall weather would remain isolated.

Earlier, moderate to severe thunderstorm was reported from various areas of the valley while as upper reaches of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district including tourist destination Sonamarg received fresh snowfall.

Two to three mm rains were reported from South and central Kashmir and moderate rains at some places of north Kashmir,  Gulmarg, Tangmarg and Doda district.
