SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Department (MeT) Wednesday issued a warning about the flash flood, mudslides and landslides in view of heavy to very heavy rain in most parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement Director MeT department Sonam Lotus said that at present, it’s cloudy at most places of JK with Thunderstorms and rain at some places of Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi and neighborhood.

He said that widespread intermittent rain is most likely to continue till July 30. Heavy to Very Rain is also possible at some places.

He added that it may lead to flash floods, mudslides, Landslides and waterlogging( low lying areas).

Accordingly, he said people are once again advised to remain alert and very cautious as water levels has rised in all rivers.

“Don’t venture out on hilly, landslides and mudslide prone areas,” he appealed.
