National Conference Wednesday castigated opposition PDP for trying to confuse and betray the people of the State by issuing statements that contradict the political history and anti-Muslim acts of PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. NC Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, while addressing public meetings in Tangmarg has asked Mehbooba Mufti where Mufti Sayeed’s concern for Muslims of Kashmir was when he leased J&K out to the dreaded, brutal Governor Jagmohan despite strong protests by Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s democratically elected Government in J&K.
“Mehbooba Mufti should try to introspect and realize that her father has been the biggest tyrant and oppressor in the contemporary history of J&K as was clearly demonstrated by Mufti’s ruthless oppression and persecution of the youth of Kashmir during his stint as the Home Minister of India in the Jan Morcha Government. Mufti Sayeed is responsible for numerous massacres and mass-killings in J&K and it was none other than Mufti who leased out J&K to Jagmohan. When Mufti did this, Dr. Farooq Abdullah resigned as the Chief Minister of J&K as a mark of protest given Jagmohan’s anti-Muslim tendencies and ideology”, Dr. Kamal said.
Dr. Kamal asked the people of Tangmarg to ensure the ouster of anti-J&K elements in the coming elections. “Those elements who were exposed as agents and stooges of agencies have no role to play in the politics of the State. Those elements who were exposed to having been paid to topple democratically elected governments in the State have no role to play in the sacred halls of democracy. These elections offer all of you an opportunity to remove these elements from positions of responsibility and clean J&K’s politics of saboteurs and agents”, Dr. Kamal said while addressing public meetings at various locations in Tangmarg.
Dr. Kamal while addressing a public meeting at Gagdoora, Tangmarg welcomed renowned social and political activist and senior DPN leader from Mughal Pura Haji Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh into National Conference along with hundreds of his supporters and workers. Dr. Kamal said that many more workers from DPN and PDP would join National Conference in the days to come.
