All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) chairperson and octogenarian Syed Ali Geelani Tuesday prayed for speedy recovery and good health of Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif is going through open heart surgery in London.
“The whole Kashmiri nation is sending well wishes for him and wants to express their sympathy with the (Nawaz) family,” Geelani said in a statement this evening.
In an e-mailed message to his Sharif’s Kulsum Nawaz, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and brother Shahbaz Sharif, Geelani said, “I happened to meet him (Nawaz Sharif) in Saudi Arabia and I was very impressed with his humble and polite character.”
“I pray to Almighty Allah for his early and speedy recovery from the open heart surgery,” Geelani added in the message.
Geelani said that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, its government and the head of the country “has a special status for the Kashmiri nation and after Almighty Allah, this country is the only visible support for us who helps us and highlights our miseries in the outer world”.
