IGP CRPF P K Singh on Friday said that since the police is investigating the Nawakadal firing incident the CRPF will fully cooperate with the investigating agency to reach out to the circumstances which led to the death of a youth in the incident.
Talking to KNS, the IG CRPF said: “I don’t want to say anything on this issue because it is a police subject and they are investigating the matter. But the CRPF being a government agency will fully cooperate with the police in its investigations into the matter. We have already initiated court of enquiry because CRPF personnel were also deployed there.”
Pertinently, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a 22 year-old youth got killed in the firing incident on April 30 evening at Nawakdal. Four other has sustained injuries in the incident.
