Will find permanent solution to Kashmir issue: Rajnath

On Sunday Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that BJP government will find a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue.

In an interview with India Today Singh made remarks that while the government cannot give an exact time for solving Kashmir issue, it is a problem which has remained unresolved since 1947.

The Home Minister however refused to provide information about the government’s strategy on the Kashmir issue.


“Government is working towards a permanent solution on the issue,” the report quoted Singh as saying.

While talking about people of Kashmir Singh assured that Kashmir, Kashmiris and Kashmiriyat will not suffer, and the government will not let Kashmir burn.

Singh further said that  Modi government wants to speak to all stakeholders vis-a-vis the Kashmir issue but asserted that “talks will be unconditional”.

Singh refused to comment on remark that Hurriyat should be banned which was said by Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh”s.
