CongressCongress on Tuesday termed the Islamabad By-Polls as a “fight against divisive politics of RSS and BJP”.

“It will continue to expose the anti-people policies of PDP-BJP Coalition government,” Congress said, “won’t allow PDP to play with the emotions of people for the sake personal benefit and political mileage as it did during 2014 elections.”

Addressing the first election management meeting of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee at Islamabad on Tuesday, JKPCC Chief G A Mir described the Islamabad By-election as the fight between the “divisive policies of RSS and urged upon the people of Islamabad to defeat the divisive politics of  BJP and  RSS by voting against PDP in these elections”.

Stating that Congress will continue to “fight against the anti-people and wrong policies of the coalition government, Mir castigated PDP for “betraying” people after securing votes in 2014 Elections. “PDP has let down the people by aligning with the BJP for the fact PDP secured votes on the pretext of keeping BJP out of power, then the same party aligned with the BJP and RSS for the sake of Power.” He accused PDP for indulging in “politics of opportunism”.

PCC Chief appealed people of Islamabad to ensure the victory of Congress candidate Hilal Ahmad Shah with a thumping majority, as “Congress alone which can defeat divisive politics of BJP and RSS”.
