The government has ordered the winter vacation schedule. Schools up to the Middle level will close for winter vacation on December 7 and the secondary level will close on December 21.
“Orders were issued and will be made public tonight.” a senior education ministry official said from Jammu. “It might take some time to reach the media.”
The decision was taken in wake of the intense cold that has engulfed Kashmir region. For the last few days the foggy conditions prevented even a flight to land in Srinagar.
