SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, on Wednesday, stated that the announcement of the winter break for schools in Kashmir will come in a day or two, as the matter is under serious consideration by the government.
Talking to reporters, Bidhuri stated that the decision to declare the vacation will be made after taking into account a number of factors, including how the vacation will affect the students’ academic schedule.
Primary schools will close first, followed by middle and upper schools, he said, and the vacations will be announced gradually., he added. “The exact dates for the vacation will be announced in a day or tw.”
Divisional Commissioner also assured that the government is committed to ensuring that the academic calendar of students does not suffer as a result of the vacation. (KNO)
