Winter vacations of the Schools in Kashmir have been extended upto March 7, official sources said on Saturday.

They said that due to bad weather conditions in Kashmir Valley, Director School Education Showkat Ahmad Beigh while announcing it said that weather conditions are not favourable in Kashmir.

However, sources said the spread of H1N1 is also a reason in extending the winter vacation.

March 9 will be now the first working day of Schools.

Pertinently, Kashmir schools are not functioning since September last after the devastating floods.

  1. It’s was the wrong decision of previous govt.to withhold the exams. Of the entire winter zone particularly in Jammu division .All the students as well as their wards are facing panic in this chilled days. Some are now plying for enmass promotion for wards, some are looking other ways .the whole scenario is cumbersome.Wrong decision will put wrong impact over the students. Now the govt. Should decide in one way immediately over the the issue of exams. so that the illwill stops its tilted eyes over students and think rational for the future of students
