Locals blocked Srinagar-Hajin-Sopore road at Markundal in North Kashmir Thursday morning against alleged disappearance of a local youth.
Reports reaching here said that a youth was abducted from his home in Khomina village of Sumbal Wednesday evening.
Last week, another youth, Riyaz Ahmad, from Sumbal, is also missing.
The Khomina youth, identified as Mohammad Amin Ganaie, son of Abdul Qadir Ganaie, is missing since last evening when “unknown persons who arrived in the village”.
“After he was taken in the car, he made a distress call to his wife that he was taken up by some unknown persons whom he doesn’t know and soon the phone line dropped,” said his brother.
His phone was switched off since that call, reports added.
