SRINAGAR: A 30-year-old woman allegedly attempted to commit suicide by setting herself ablaze in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday evening.
Quoting sources, Kashmir Scroll reported that a woman (name withheld), set herself ablaze in an orchard in the Arampora area of Sopore Saturday evening. However, she was immediately taken to a sub-district hospital, where she is said to be in critical condition.
It was not immediately known why she took this extreme step while police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
