SRINAGAR: A 45-year-old woman died after an SUV collided with a Tata Mobile vehicle in the Akhal area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday.
Officials said the accident occurred when a Scorpio collided with a Tata Mobile near Akhal, leaving the woman seriously injured.
The injured woman was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Naseema Begum, 45, wife of Nazir Ahmad Ahanger and a resident of Akhal, Kangan.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and started proceedings in the matter.(KNO)
