A woman was killed in a road traffic accident in Hirri village of Kupwara district on Friday morning.
Officials at Police Station Kupwara said a four-wheeler Tata Sumo hit a woman identified as Taja Begum at around 9 AM on Kupwara Chowkibal Road on Friday. She received fatal injuries in the accident.
”The woman was immediately taken to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead,” reports said.
An FIR has been registered against the offending driver namely Aijaz Ahmad of Kralpora under FIR No. 131/2019 in P/S Kupwara.”We have arrested the driver and seized the vehicle,” a police official told Kashmir Life over the phone from Kupwara.
