SRINAGAR: A tragic incident occurred in Vailoo Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday as a woman drowned to death.
An official informed that the deceased, identified as Shahnaza Begum (40), wife of Showkat Ahmad Phatan from Pindubal Vailoo, drowned in Brengi Nallh at Pindubal Vailoo
She was rushed to SDH Kokernag, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
BMO Larnoo confirmed the death and stated that the woman’s body is presently at SDH Kokernag and will be handed over to the family after completion of legal formalities.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.(KS).
