A lady committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her home in North Kashmir’s Handwara, police said.
“A Lady (name withheld) resident of Lawoosa, Handwara consumed some poisonous substance at her home,” police said in a statement. “She was shifted to hospital for treatment where doctors declared her brought dead.”
After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her next of kins for last rites, the police said. “Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.”
