SRINAGAR: The family members of a woman found mysteriously dead at her in-laws’ home in the Zonimar area of Srinagar alleged on Sunday that she had been murdered, whereas her in-laws asserted she died by suicide.
Family members of the deceased woman, identified as Mehvish, alleged that she has been murdered by her in-laws.
One of the family members said that they tried to call her many times, but she was not available. “Her in-laws are claiming she died by suicide, but they have murdered her. We demand a thorough probe into the matter.”
Meanwhile, a police official said that an FIR under relevant sections of the law has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
