SRINAGAR: A 36-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in the Lal Bazar area of Srinagar on Friday, officials said.
The woman, a resident of Lal Bazar, was reportedly found hanging inside a room at her house. Family members immediately shifted her to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for treatment.
However, doctors at the hospital declared her brought dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated legal proceedings to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the death. (KNC)
