SRINAGAR: A woman who was injured in a road accident in the Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district on Thursday has succumbed on Saturday.
Sources said that on Thursday, an accident took place at Sonamarg when a Swift Desire bearing registration number JK01AT/8322 collided with another Swift car bearing registration number MH03BC/1472, resulting in injuries to two persons.
They were identified as Qudrat Farooq, daughter of Sheik Farooq, resident of Karanagar, and Aqib Naseer, son of Naseer Ah Mir, resident of Umarabad Srinagar.
Both were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, from where Qudra was referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment, where she succumbed after two days.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance and started an investigation. (KS)
