A 65-year-old woman was killed when her she accidentally got caught in the belt of a rice milling machine which severed her head in Wakura village of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
An official said that a lady identified as Hajra Begum wife of Mohammad Yousuf Ganai a resident of Wakura died after her clothes accidentally got caught in the belt of a rice milling machine where she had gone to husk her paddy.
He said that soon after receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
He said that the body has been taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
“Police has registered a case and started investigations into this matter,” said an official.
