In yet another heinous case of domestic violence, a woman was reportedly set on fire by her in-laws in Islamabad District of South Kashmir.
Giving details, JK police spokesperson Tuesday evening said, “Abdul Rashid Ganaie, son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganaie, resident of Deva Colony, Janglat Mandi, approached Police Post Sherbagh along with his daughter, Tanveera, in an injured condition and reported that she was set on fire by her in-laws at Hazratbal Islamabad.”
“As per the medical report the woman has sustained 15% of burn injuries and is being treated in District Hospital Islamabad,” the spokesperson said.
Police swung in to action and registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
