Senior Leader National Conference Ajay Kumar Sadhotra with Women workers after the meeting at Jaswan in Marh.

According to a statement while addressing a meeting of Women Workers of National Conference at Jaswan in Marh Sadhotra said the tall claims of BJP to lower down the prices during the 2014 Parliament Elections has proved to be hollow and havoc. BJP came to power in 2014 at the centre and the state and in 2019 at the centre and now ruling Jammu and Kashmir directly, could not keep it promises and instead steep rise in prices have put a heavy load on the kitchen of Common man.

“Women are the worst sufferer being the manager of every household and kitchen are feeling the heat of it. The frequent rise in prices of the Petroleum Products/Petrol/Diesel/Cooking Gas have given flip to the overall rise in prices and BJP govt has turned silent spectator. The atmosphere has been created as if there is nobody to listen and address the problem of rising prices,” he added.

“On One side the common man is feeling the heat of unprecedented unemployment which has been further accumulated by the COVID-19 pandemic and on the other hand due to steep rise in prices. It has become very difficult for a common woman to run the kitchen,” Sadhotra said.

He asked the womenfolk to understand the designs of the BJP government which only comes with tall false promises during elections and then forget to see towards the common man.

“Not to talk of the only kitchen even it has become difficult for the common man to educate children and to get his sons or daughters married. The common man has come under the huge credit due to debris of false and tall promises of BJP,” he said.

“The common man is forced to sell his little agriculture land in distress to meet up his needs of the day to day and other social deeds. The rates of fertilizers have been increased disproportionately. The common man is facing an unprecedented situation due to a rise in prices,” said NC leader.

Sadhotra asked the BJP Govt to put Rs 10000/- in the account of every household by cash transfer in view of an unprecedented rise in prices, unemployment and COVID-19 pandemic.

He asked the womenfolk to be cautious about a spike in the COVID-19 pandemic, go for vaccination, use mask and observe human distance as per govt protocol to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Others who spoke on the occasion are Bhagat Darshana Bhen, Seema, Darshana, Sarishta, Subedar GhasitaRam, Ghar Singh Corporator, Rakesh Pahalwan, Master Nasib Ji, Pritam Bakshi,” said the statement.
