On the occasion of World Arbour Day, a plantation drive was launched by Skylight School Pampore at town’s Tehsil office.
On this occasion, officials of Tehsil administration, teachers, Principal and a large number of students participated in the programme.
While speaking on the occasion Principal Skylight School, Parveen Jamal, told students that trees are an indispensable part of our lives and should be protected at all costs for a better and pollution free future.
Also, a number of students and officials spoke during the programme and highlighted the importance of trees for a clean environment.
Later on, numbers of trees were planted in the compound of the Tehsil office, public parks at Drangabal and Kadalbal by students, teachers and local officials.
The programme was concluded by taking out an awareness rally in the town by the students of the school. During the rally students interacted with locals emphasizing the importance of planting trees for sake of collective future.
