A wreath laying ceremony led was held at JIC Islamabad by to pay homage to the slain cop Imtiyaz Ahmad, resident of Palpora Noorbagh, Srinagar, police spokesman said.
The ceremony was led by DIG South Kashmir S P Pani and attended by other top police and civil officers.
Imtiyaz police said was killed by some unknown militants when they fired upon a police party near General Bus Stand Islamabad.
Spokesman said Imtiyaz is survived by aged parents, unmarried sister and two brothers, one of them differently abled.
