A wreath-laying event was held on Friday morning in District Police Lines Srinagar where tributes were paid to the slain Police head constable HC Habib-ul-lah, who succumbed to his injuries in the wee hours after he was injured in a militant attack at Karan Nagar days ago.

A spokesperson in a statement said that civil and  Police Officers led by Director General of Police S.P Vaid laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains and paid rich tributes to the slain who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

“Among others who paid floral tributes to slain cop include ADGP Armed AK Choudhary IPS, IGP Kashmir  S.P Pani IPS, DIG CKR V.K Birdi IPS, SSP Srinagar and other senior officers and jawans were present,” the spokesman said.

“Slian police head constable Habib-ul-lah the lone bread earner of his family, is survived by three daughters Riffat Ara, aged 21 years whose marriage was scheduled next week, Insha student of 10th class, Rubeena student of 6th of class, two sons Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din about 22 years old and Kaiser Ahmad Lone about 26 years old besides wife and aged parents,” the spokesman said.
